{"id":1293,"date":"2017-09-06T04:04:52","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T04:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agrifood.swim.net.au\/news\/fipronil-contamination-in-eggs\/"},"modified":"2017-09-06T04:04:52","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T04:04:52","slug":"fipronil-contamination-in-eggs","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/agrifood.swim.net.au\/zh\/news\/fipronil-contamination-in-eggs\/","title":{"rendered":"Fipronil \u2013 contamination in Eggs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Recently there has been an outbreak of Fipronil contamination in Chicken eggs and egg by products over in Europe and Hong Kong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"> Fipronil is an insecticide which is commonly used as an active ingredient for flea and pest control.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Based on Australia New Zealand Food Standard Code Australia our Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) is 0.02mg per kg. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><em>Agrifood Technology has the capability to analyse for Fipronil under GCMS.
